GLUCKSTADT -- The Clinton High School softball team dropped a 10-0 decision to the Germantown Lady Mavericks in MHSAA Region 2-7A action Tuesday night at Germantown High School.
The setback moved the Lady Arrows to 7-2 in region play and 14-12 overall.
Germantown struck early with a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning, then added a run on an RBI single in the third to build a 4-0 advantage.
The Lady Mavericks broke the game open with a five-run fourth inning, then added a solo home run and a walk-off single to end the contest in run-rule fashion.

Anna Raines each recorded a hit for the Lady Arrows.

Clinton wraps up the regular season on Senior Night Thursday, April 16, hosting the Oxford Lady Chargers at CHS. The junior varsity game is scheduled at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity matchup at 6:30 p.m.
