CLINTON -- The Clinton Cheer program announced its official tryout schedule and important deadlines for students interested in joining the 2026-2027 cheer squads on Monday, January 12.

Tryout packets will be available beginning February 2 and can be picked up at each student's school front office (Lovett, CJHS, Sumner Hill, CHS). Completed tryout forms must be turned in to the front office no later than 4 p.m. on February 20.

A mandatory parent meeting is scheduled for February 23 at 6 p.m. at the Sumner Hill gym. Attendance is required for all prospect cheerleaders and their parents or guardians.

A mandatory tryout clinic will be held on March 1 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the CHS gym. Optional tryout clinics will take place on March 2 and March 3 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the same location.

Official tryouts for the CHS cheer squad are set for March 5 at the CHS Gym. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and close promptly at 5:15 p.m. Participants who arrive late will not be permitted to try out.

The official 2026-27 CHS Cheer squad will be posted on the CHS website on March 6 at 8 p.m.
