Due to impending weather on Tuesday, the Lady Arrows Softball team pushed their Region 2-7A matchup versus Germantown to Monday night.  The game ended in a wild 21-20 score with a combine 38 hits on the night.  The Lady Arrows move to 11-5 with the victory, and have a 4-1 record in Region 2-7A.

The fireworks started early on Monday night as the Lady Mavericks scored 2 in the top of the 1st and the Lady Arrows responded with 3 in the bottom half.  The Lady Mavericks then scored 4 in the top of the 2nd to take a 6-3 lead.

The Lady Mavericks scored 3 more in the top of the 3rd before the Lady Arrows stormed back with 5 in the bottom half.  Keelyn Constancio singled to drive in a run before Estrella Constancio walked to the plate two batters later and belted a grand slam to left field to bring the Lady Arrows with one at 9-8 after 3 innings.

The Lady Mavericks responded with 6 runs in the top of the 4th to make the score 15-8.  The Lady Arrows scored 7 runs to tie the game at 15 in the 4th.  Ashlen Albritton hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run before K Constancio drove in another run on a signle to left, E Constancio walked to drive in a run, and Makenzie Cooley hit a fly ball to right that found the turf and cleared the bases to bring the Lady Arrows with 1 run yet again.  Cooley then scored on a passed ball to tie the game.

The wacky night was not over, however, as the Lady Mavericks quickly took the lead again in the top of the 5th on a leadoff homerun to make the score 16-15.  Germantown would then add 3 more runs in the top of the 6th to make the score 19-15 headed into the bottom of the 6th.

In the bottom of the 6th, E Constancio and Cooley went back-to-back sending homeruns into the night sky at Arrow Field.  Constancio's 2nd homerun of the night was a 3-run blast to left and Cooley tied the game at 19 with a shot to center.

In the final frame of the night, Germantown took the lead one final time, scoring on a clean single to left to drive home a run and make the score 20-19.  In the bottom of the 7th, the Lady Arrows' first 2 batters were retired to bring the Lady Mavericks within 1 out of securing the victory.  Constancio and Cooley struck again, however, with Constancio singling to left to bring up Cooley with a chance for heroics.  Cooley drove the ball to the wall and the Lady Mavericks' right fielder made an effort to catch the ball but trapped it on the turf.  Believing she recorded the final out, the Lady Mavericks acted as if the game was over.  Constancio and Cooley did not let up, and both of them scored on an inside-the-park home run  to walk it off and give the Lady Arrows the 21-20 victory.

At the plate for the Lady Arrows, K Constancio and E Constancio both recorded 4 hits on the night.  K Constancio went 4-for-6 with 4 runs scored and 2 RBI.  E Constancio went 4-for-5 with 10 total bases on the night including 2 homeruns, 4 runs scored, and 7 RBI.  Cooley went 3-for-6 with 4 runs scored and 4 RBI.

In the circle for the Lady Arrows, Albritton pitched the first 2.1 innings before E Constancio finished the game and earned the win by recording the final 4.2 innings.

The Lady Arrows return to action on Thursday night as they host the Madison Central Lady Jaguars at Arrow Field.  JV will begin at 5 and Varsity at 6:30 PM.
