The Clinton Arrows Tennis team earned a 5-2 win over the Brandon Bulldogs Thursday afternoon at Clinton High School. The win moves the Arrows' record to 8-2 on the season.
On the singles part of the match,
Tejasvi Uppu swept her match and won 6-0, 6-0.
Manas Guduru was defeated by the Bulldogs' boys' singles player.
The Arrows won 4 of 5 doubles matches on Thursday.
Grayson Temple and
Tierney Cronin won their match 6-0, 7-5.
Owen Fulton and
Avanthi Remata won their match 6-2, 7-5. The Boys' doubles team of
Kushal Mannam and
Ethan Rone swept both of their sets 6-0, 6-0.
Samuel Johnson and
Brady Mayfield won their match 6-0, 6-2.
The mixed doubles team of
Hannah Webb and
Jacob Strickler played a close 1st set, but dropped the set 4-6 before losing the 2nd set 1-6.
The Arrows return to action on Friday as they travel to Tupelo to take on the Golden Wave in an important Region 2-7A matchup. The match will take place at the indoor courts at Rob Leake City Park in Tupelo. The match will begin at 3 PM.
