The Lady Arrows Softball team fell to the Madison Central Lady jaguars on Thursday night by a score of 6-3. The loss drops the Lady Arrows to a record of 7-5 and 1-1 in Region 2-7A.
The Lady Jaguars struck first in the bottom of the 1st inning before the Lady Arrows tied the game in the top of the 2nd. Junior Hayden Leigh-Holifield singled up the middle to drive home Junior
Makenzie Cooley to tie the game at 1.
The Lady Jaguars put up 4 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning and 1 more in the bottom of the 4th to go up 6-1. With 2 outs,
Kaelyn Thames signled to right field, driving home
Madison Nelson and
Estrella Constancio. The final 2 innings of the game were scoreless as the Lady Arrows outhit the Lady Jaguars but were unable to climb back on the scoreboard.
At the plate for the Lady Arrows, Thames went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI. Cooley went 1-for-3 with a run scored.

Estrella Constancio took the loss with 3 innings pitched, allowing 4 hits and 5 earned runs.

The Lady Arrows return to action on Tuesday night, March 26th as they host the Starkville Lady Yellow Jackets in the second matchup of the year after the Lady Arrows defeated Starkville 10-1 this past Tuesday. JV will begin at 5 and Varsity will begin at 6:30.
